About

EMILY ARROW grew up in the Midwest before heading to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music. After graduating, she moved to Los Angeles in 2012 to pursue life as a musician, the first of many cities she would call home, including Nashville and Portland, OR!

In 2015, Emily launched her artist name “Emily Arrow” and a mission: singing songs and stories to inspire the next generation through music. Her award-winning songs, inspired by beloved picture books, have been sung by students and teachers worldwide. With her ukulele Bow in hand, she performed at schools, libraries, bookstores, and festivals, championing youth literacy every step of the way.

Her deep love of children's literature led her to become a published children's author herself. Over the years, she has also worn many hats: elementary music teacher, retail shop owner, music school founder, and songwriter for TV shows and musicals.

Collaborating with fellow musicians, producers, and authors and illustrators has been among the greatest highlights of her creative life. She is an official Kala Ukulele artist and after producing 5 indie records, she signed with Platoon Kids to record two children's records (2024 & 2025).

Emily's focus has since expanded to empowering voices in new ways. She is the founder of Turquoise Voice Studio and is currently training to become a speech-language pathologist.

When she's not writing or reading, you'll find her on a paddleboard doing yoga, singing in a protest choir, or fostering litters of rescue puppies. She currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their rescue dog, Puppa.
